Project Overview

The project aims to design the cover for the festival-themed special issue of “Creative Gaga” magazine, shifting the focus from the conventional portrayal of Dussehra to a narrative centered around positivity and creation. Embracing the festive spirit, the cover artwork seeks to inspire readers to adopt a more optimistic outlook during the festival months.

Problem Statement

Traditional depictions of Dussehra often revolve around the destruction of negativity symbolized by the burning of effigies like Ravana. However, this narrative lacks nuance and fails to promote a constructive approach towards combating negativity. Our challenge is to redefine this narrative by emphasizing the importance of fostering positivity and creativity.

Our Approach

Rather than portraying the destruction of Ravana, we focus on the creation of his character and the essence of his personality. By showcasing the artistry and creativity involved in crafting Ravana, we highlight the transformative power of positive endeavors. The design incorporates elements of festivity and home decoration, symbolizing the joyous spirit of the festival months. Through this approach, we aim to inspire readers to embrace positivity and celebrate the beauty of creation during the festive season.
