Project Overview

Craftsmith, the renowned producer of Indian Luxury Whisky, introduced Kilburn, a premium blend of aged malts and the finest Indian grain spirits. To distinguish Kilburn in the competitive luxury whisky market, Craftsmith developed a brand story centered around the concept of time, culminating in the tagline “The Taste of Time.” This narrative positioned Kilburn as a product of parallel consciousness, with Craftsmith depicted as a timelord traversing dimensions to shelter in a hamlet named Kilburn.

Problem Statement

Craftsmith aimed to establish Kilburn as a standout player in the premium luxury whisky category amidst a crowded market. To achieve this, the brand needed to create a compelling narrative and visually striking packaging that conveyed the essence of luxury and elegance while aligning with the brand’s thematic focus on time.

Our Approach

Craftsmith approached the project by developing a compelling brand narrative around the concept of time, positioning Kilburn as a timeless luxury whisky. They created visually striking packaging representing parallel universes, using Burgundy and Prussian Blue colors for luxury appeal. Collaboration with Rohit Bhongle produced 3D visualizations, enhancing Kilburn’s presence. Despite market saturation, Craftsmith differentiated Kilburn with a modern, edgy aesthetic, ensuring it stood out as a premium offering.
